FAQ
KKPsi is a dry organization. Why the bar reference?
First, because it sounded funny. Second, we’re all alumni. Third, it doesn’t get much less alcoholic than an imaginary online bar – maybe it’s a juice bar, or a hookah bar, or one of those new-fangled oxygen bars! Mostly, we were looking for something that reflected that spirit of getting together at a restaurant or coffee shop and talking for hours about our fraternity, and “Eight Brothers Walk Into a Dennys” didn’t really have the same ring.
There are __ of you, not eight. ‘Sup with that?
You know how it is with groups of Brothers – you invite eight, and six show, but then five more come an hour later, and then two take off, and next thing you know the entire trombone section is sitting in your living room….
Seriously, though, the original group was designed to be eight people, but we never really cared about any given number. “Eight” sounded as good as any other number, and if you turn it sideways, it becomes “Infinity Brothers” – which is really what we’re shooting for, anyway. :)
Well, hey then, I wanna join.
Cool! Click on the “Join” tab at the top of the page, and learn more about how you can become a part of Eight Brothers.
Some of your posts are password protected. What’s the password?
If you are an active or alumni member of KKPsi, you already know the answer to that question.
What if I’m not and I don’t?
You wouldn’t want to read what’s behind that password anyway. It’s all really boring stuff. About goats.
Why don’t you use your real names?
We wanted to make sure that we could all always say what we really thought. Using handles allows us to write freely and openly.
Why do you still care about KKPsi when you’re not even active members?
Even when we move on with our lives and leave our fraternity behind us, it is still a part of us. You don’t spend that much time and energy on something during your formative years without it rubbing off on you a bit. Some of us are really happy with the current state of the fraternity, some of us are concerned, and some of us are just wanting to share some old stories one last time. We figure that anything that mattered that much to us when we were younger must be worth caring about – must be that important to other people – will be important to even more people in years to come. How many opportunities do we have in our lives to be a part of something like that? The answer is, not many. And so here we are, continuing to work toward something that we suspect may matter. If that makes us geeks, well, we were in a band fraternity. “Geek” is kind of a given, isn’t it?
Do you have any good salsa recipes?
Bro, you are SO on the wrong website. What kind of freaky search engine are you using, anyway? Here – try this.
