About
Eight Brothers Walk Into a Bar is a multi-author blog written by ___ alumni Brothers of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. It exists to help fight the effects of short institutional memory, to share insight with current members who want it, and to give some old washed-up Brothers something to do in their spare time.
Some of the best experiences we’ve had in Kappa Kappa Psi were those times when a bunch of similarly-minded people would get together over a meal, coffee, or (as alums) a round of beverages, and these amazing freeform conversations would take place. We talked about things we were concerned about, things we wished we had learned when we started, things we’d do differently if we were in charge, things that excited/confused/irritated/bored us. We talked about good times, bad times, good music, bad jokes – you name it. It was those times when we felt most like a Brother, and most like we had something to contribute to the good of the fraternity. This blog is an effort to start another conversation like that, only this time, it’s out there where anyone can eavesdrop and chime in.
